Call for Proposals
Deadline for Abstract Submission: 31 March 2025
The Organizing Committee of The 7th International Conference and Exhibition on Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching (ALLT 2025) is pleased to announce that the event will take place from 02-03 May 2025 at Zayed University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are now accepting proposals for presentations that align with the conference theme: “AI-Driven Innovations and Emerging Trends in Language Education”. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Globalization, World Englishes and Language Teaching
- Teacher education and professional development
- Intercultural communication and English as a lingua franca (ELF)
- Bilingualism and multilingualism
- Cultural diversity and inclusivity in classroom
- Classroom-based Research and research-based teaching
- LPP (Language Planning and Policy).
- Curriculum development and pedagogy
- Innovation in language education
- Teaching language skills & sub-skills
- Sociolinguistics in the classroom
- Positive Psychology in language education
- Design thinking and learning
- Tolerance in language and sociolinguistics education
- Remote pedagogy, digital education & online learning
- CLIL (Content and Language Integrated learning)
Types of presentations:
- Oral presentation (15 minutes)
- Poster presentation (55 minutes)
- Workshop (55 minutes)
- Symposium (1 hours – 4 presentations)
Instructions for each submission:
A. Submission for Individual Paper (15 minutes) or poster> (55 minutes). The abstract should :
- be between 200 and 250 words;
- include a clear and specific title;
- include clearly what the presentation is about and what the audience are expected to find if they attend; and
- be written either in English (if the presentation is delivered in English) or Arabic language (if the presentation is delivered in Arabic).
B. Workshop / training (55 minutes): this is a hands-on session. It is expected to be practical and involve audience on certain activities. This is NOT an extended oral presentation. It is recommended to during the training to share (printed or digital) material with audience. Submission for a 50-minute workshop/training should:
- be around 300-word abstract;
- include a clear and specific title;
- include clearly what the workshop will cover and how it is organized;
- mention what audience will achieve by the end of the workshop; and
- be written either in English (if the presentation is delivered in English) or Arabic language (if the presentation is delivered in Arabic).
C. Symposium (1 hours – 4 presentations): The proposal should:
- be around 300-word abstract;
- be chaired by two chairs/delegates – the information of both chairs/delegates should be included in the submission via EasyChair;
- include the topic / theme that the symposium focuses on;
- mention how the 2-hour slot will be divided;
- include the title of 3 or 4 presentations that will be presented and discussed during the symposium. After the blind peer-review process, if the abstract of the symposium is accepted, the organizing committee will contact the symposium chairs/delegates with further instruction on the submission of the abstract of the 3 or 4 presentations of the symposium; and
- be written either in English (if the symposium is delivered in English) or Arabic language (if the symposium is delivered in Arabic).

Publication:
ALLT 2025 proceedings will be published by Zayed University Press. The call for full manuscript will be sent to all presenters after the conference.ead
